Is your life filled with happiness and harmony? Or is it full of conflicting wants, needs, responsibilities, and things you have to do?

For most people, it’s the latter to greater or lesser degrees. Even those who would answer that their life is filled with harmony might be heard to add a qualifier that goes something like this: “Everything is perfect. We all have the occasional challenge, but there’s a reason for everything and we always learn something from these challenges. These are just life lessons.”

OK. True as far as it goes. But challenges? What some people call challenges usually feel more like obstacles, difficulties, problems or frustrations, but in some circles it is not considered enlightened to use such terms. I am old, and I am from the old school of tell-it-like-it-is. If something feels difficult to me, I say so. No sugar coating changes how I fell about it. It won’t change how you truly feel about it either, though it is possible to become an expert at self-deception and shoving your feelings under the rug (which doesn’t pay off in the end anyway.)

We may not be able to change the fact that difficulties come up in life, but we can improve the quality of our overall journey and our rate of success, thereby upstaging these nasty little “challenges” when they do come up. To do this, we must know where we’re going and how to get there.

In this course, you will embark on a journey aimed at helping you to resolve what you truly want out of life and how to get it. We will go about this primarily by doing our best to get things in sync so that one thing does not interfere with the other. When you know what you want in life, and I mean really know,it becomes easier to get it. Once you know what you’re really after, the how-to is simply to set up everything else to go along with it.

When the things you do are at odds with your aims, you will feel frustrated and unhappy. This is also the case when your spiritual practices are at odds with your aims. You may even give them up completely and still find yourself feeling unfulfilled, that something is missing. But when your primary aim is life, what you do, and your spiritual practices are in sync, your life will go more smoothly and you will experience better results, fewer obstacles, and more satisfaction.

Im excited for you. You can do this. You can get a smoother flow going in your life, you really can. I could tell you how to do this in one sentence, but the mind you have to deal with everyday would rebel and get in the way. I could remedy that problem by putting you through a long, hard course and giving you a big test at the end to make the course and your work look more impressive, and your mind more satisfied (minds like to invalidate things that are not complicated or difficult). But I didn’t do that. Instead, I’ve given you fourteen lessons with some wiggle room for adapting them to the unique person that you are, for a journey that only you can take.

Whatever you do with this course, please HAVE FUN. Serious matters are best taken up with a light heart and sense of humor.
